His new things!

His tongue! He loves sticking it in and out, especially if he is in his snuggly. I think he must like the taste of it!

Also he has found his thumb and enjoys sucking on it - when he can find it. Usually he prefers a sideways mouth entrance. =)

First pair of Nikes!

A few weeks ago, David Michael's great-grandparents (one set) came to visit him. They had a wonderful day with him, and you can see pics of that below. But, they also brought him his first pair of Nikes! We tried them on. I think he liked them, but was a bit confused!

Roaches, Ants and Lizards!

Well, "country" life has been great, but we are starting to be overrun! On Wednesday I spotted a dead cockroach (of pretty good size!) in our apartment. This certainly didn't make me happy.

Then the next morning, my countertop was covered in ants! I spent half my morning vacuuming them up!

Then that afternoon, my mom spotted a lizard which had made its new home under my hope chest! I was lucky enough to spot him that afternoon, and was very glad to have the heads up from Mom.

This morning, we spotted the little guy again. I grabbed a broom and Stuart grabbed a jar, and we attempted to catch him so that we could move him to a better home outside. He run under another trunk. We decided to move it in order to find him. All that was left was part of his tail! I felt that we had hurt him, but Stuart assured me that they were able to pop off part of thier tale in order to free themselves from predators.

Still, we looked for him for quite a while and were unable to find him.

This afternoon Aunt Lisa and Jimmy came over. And, although I was not in the room at that time, Jimmy spotted the Mr. Henry the Lizard. (A combination of Mr. Lizard and Henry - the names Stuart and I had chosen for the little guy.) They chased him onto the laminate floor where he could get no traction. Stuart grabbed him and plopped him in the jar for a safe relocation to the wide outdoors.

Still, I am thikning what is next!?!? Squirrels? Birds? Mice? (shiver!)

Then on the road coming home from Louisville we came across a kamakaze cat, deer, rabbit, some sort of mongoose creature, and even a man in the road! Crazy! We were just waiting for a giraffe to peak up from the tree tops!

Move to the country and you will slowly but surely become Dr. Doolittle! Ha! Well, not that we don't like it here, we do very much!

Our stroller!

We finally put the stroller together and let David Michael take a stroll around the living room in it. He seemed uninterested!

Young Family Reunion

We went to the Young family reunion on Saturday. There was good food and a beautiful day! Have I ever mentioned how beautiful it is out here? David Michael enjoyed wearing his hat, with his own "horse" and ghetto parasail. After a while, Lindsay enjoyed his hat as well! Plus, David Michael saw (well would have seen if he had not already fallen asleep) his first snake!

IYT Service Auction & Pizza Fundraiser

As usual, we had a great time with the annual auction fundraiser for Ignite. The silent auction was very competitive and the live auction was lively! David Michael did a great job, but had to miss the live auction because it was a bit too loud for him. =)

Visit from Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma!

Last Friday David Michael's Great Grandpa and Great Grandma came to visit! It was thier first time seeing the apartment. They had a great time, along with Granny.
